This past week I received an email from a friend that really got my attention and so I wanted to share it with everyone here.  These pictures were taken in Mississippi, but this scenario can easily happen anywhere coyotes exist. If you're a deer and/or turkey hunter and you wonder what the big fuss about coyotes is about...see below. This is why the sport of predator hunting is on the rise and is one of the reasons we're hosting the Predator Competition.

Re: Why You Should be a Predator Hunter

WOW! That is crazy. What are the chances of that happening in front of the camera! Heading to the store to pick up a coyote call haha

Re: Why You Should be a Predator Hunter

This scares me. I live in SC and there was just an article in today's newspaper about coyotes in a community not far from my house (by coyotes travel) and a pro trapper caught 9 in this one area.

Re: Why You Should be a Predator Hunter

SC needs to introduce the wolf to our environment to weed out these coyotes. Alabama has done this and has seen many positive results. Wolves don't hunt like the coyotes do, but at the same time they are a predator to the coyote. They also aren't a huge threat to fawns and other deer that the coyotes routinely hunt. Call your Senator and Representatives and share this view with them.

Re: Why You Should be a Predator Hunter

That's exactly why I tell all the other hunters my small group to shoot them not matter if it blows your hunt or not. I hunt in south carolina in the low country and lucky walked up on a pack of coyotes trying to kill a yearlin deer. I killed 3 out of a pack of 4. Thanks for sharing the pictures to spread the word.

Re: Why You Should be a Predator Hunter

I am a avid hunter. I respect nature in meaning that all creatures are made by God. I know that these Coyotes are just out for a good meal. But they really just killed the deer for a snack and excitement. Now by seeing these pictures, I will take out a coyote or two if one comes my way. These are really mean and wasteful animals. This coulda been a kid so coyotes ,you better watch out. I really dont like killing anything for no reason, but I think this is a pretty good reason. thanks for the picks & happy hunting!!!
